Dr. Holzhauer is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He earned his D. D. S. degree in 1993 from Marquette University School of Dentistry. Dr. Holzhauer earned his certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery and his M. S. degree in 1997 from Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Holzhauer joined OMSA in 1997. He has had extensive training and experience in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He is an oral surgery member of the Facial Pain Treatment Program. Dr. Holzhauer is board certified with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, Waukesha County Dental Society, and Jefferson County Dental Society.
